Swedish scientists have found that hair dyes, on the bottles of which the labeling "persistent staining" is indicated, have a high level of carcinogenicity. This conclusion was made possible by the blood test of the hairdressers, where a high level of carcinogens was detected. Aromatic amines, which are part of paints, enter into chemical interaction with oxidative dyes, which leads to the development of oncological diseases. Despite the fact that the EU has officially banned the use of these compounds, this does not in any way affect hairdressers.

Analyzes have shown that the blood of hairdressers contains various hemaglobin compounds, which are ways to show the effects of exposure to carcinogens. It turned out that the constant interaction with the paint increases the blood levels of meta-toluidine and o-toluidine harmful to human health.
