Jam roll is a sweet pastry that will be appropriate on both the everyday and the holiday table. Absolutely any housewife will cope with the preparation, if she has the right recipe!

Jam roll - general principles of preparation

Most often, rolls are made from biscuit dough. It is done quickly, baked for several minutes, it turns soft, airy and goes well with jam. But that is not the rule. From the yeast dough, you can cook butter roll. From sand, a product resembling strudel is obtained. If there is very little time, then you can always roll a roll of puff pastry.

The biscuits are greased with jam after baking and rolled with a roll. If yeast shortbread or other dough is used, then jam is spread on a crude layer, twisted and only then baked. Rolls are usually decorated with icing sugar. But you can use chocolate or colored glaze, cream, various sprinkles.

Simple sponge cake with jam

The recipe for a simple roll with jam from biscuit dough. For decoration, powdered sugar is used, but if desired, you can sprinkle cinnamon on the pastry or cover with any icing. Immediately turn on the oven so that it warms up. We expose 180 degrees.

Ingredients

• 120 g flour;

• four eggs;

• 400 g of jam;

• 120 g of sugar;

• vanilla;

• 2 tablespoons of powder.

Cooking

1. Prepare an ordinary biscuit dough. Beat eggs until fluffy, gradually add sugar. You can take powder instead, it will turn out even faster.

2. As soon as the foam becomes thick and lush, add the flour with baking powder, gently stir.

3. Pour the dough onto a baking sheet, which must be covered with parchment. Smear the layer with your hand, make a thickness of no more than one centimeter.

4. Put in a preheated oven. If the temperature has not accumulated, the thin biscuit layer will begin to dry out, the roll will break when twisted.

5. Bake the layer for 12-15 minutes until cooked. During this time, it is necessary to mash the jam so that it is homogeneous. If the mass is very thick, then you can dilute it with any syrup, juice or just boiled water.

6. Remove the biscuit from the oven, lift the layer by parchment, transfer to a towel, remove paper. While the cake is warm, carefully twist it with a roll along with a towel. Let cool.

7. We unwind the biscuit, grease with jam. We spin the roll, but now without a towel.

8. We shift to the dish, sprinkle with powder, let it soak.

Butter roll with jam from yeast dough

The recipe for a soft, airy roll with jam that looks like a loaf. What a surprise after the cut! Yeast dough is an interesting recipe for milk with mineral water.

Ingredients

• 100 ml of fresh milk;

• 100 ml of mineral water;

• 5 tablespoons of sugar;

• salt;

• 50 g of oil;

• 7 g of yeast;

• 400 g flour;

• 50 ml of vegetable oil .;

• some cinnamon;

• 250-300 g of jam.

An egg or one yolk to lubricate the roll.

Cooking

1. Pour sugar into the heated milk and immediately pour the yeast, let it dissolve, just a minute. We introduce mineral water with gas. Stir.

2. Add the melted butter, salt, pour half the flour and add the vegetable oil while stirring. Season with the remaining flour. Stir thoroughly.

3. Let the yeast dough rise well in a warm place. It will take a couple of hours.

4. We take out the dough, divide into two parts. We roll out a layer from each, we try to make it rectangular.

5. Mix the jam with cinnamon. You can add chopped zest, vanilla, ginger or do not put anything in the filling.

6. We spread the jam on the layer, stepping back from the edges of the centimeter. Twist the roll. Similarly, we form the second roll.

7. We shift to a baking sheet, we make a seam from below. Let stand for twenty minutes to rise the yeast dough.

8. Grease with yolk, bake at 180 degrees until tender.

Shortcrust pastry roll

A variant of friable sweet roll from shortcrust pastry. Raisins are added to the jam, but you can do without it. In this case, the amount of filling should be increased.

Ingredients

• 200 g margarine;

• 1 tsp vinegar

• 100 g sugar;

• 1.5 cups flour;

• 1 egg;

• salt.

Filling:

• 100 g of raisins;

• 250 g of jam;

• 50 g of ground crackers.

Cooking

1. For shortcrust pastry, grind margarine with one glass of flour. Separately, beat the egg with sugar, salt and a spoonful of vinegar essence. We combine everything, knead, if necessary, add more flour. We remove the resulting lump in a bag and put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. If time is short, then you can put it in the freezer.

2. It is advisable to pour raisins in advance with hot water, let stand for swelling, then dry. Mix raisins with jam.

3. We take out the dough, roll out the layer on a cling film.

4. Sprinkle with ground breadcrumbs, but not breadcrumbs. It is advisable to use sweet and rich crackers, you can take dry cookies.

5. We spread the jam filling with raisins.

6. Raise one end of the film, twist the neat roll, transfer it to a baking sheet.

7. We bake in the oven for half an hour. Temperature 200. Immediately do not remove from the pan, let cool slightly.

8. Sprinkle with powder, cut into pieces obliquely.

Puff pastry roll with jam and nuts

Ingredients

• 300 g of dough;

• 1 apple;

• 200 g of jam;

• 0.5 tsp cinnamon

• 4 tablespoons of crackers;

Cooking

1. Closely need to thaw in advance. It is advisable that the piece go in one layer. But if two pieces, then you can make two rolls.

2. Cut the apples into small cubes, mix with cinnamon and crackers, add the jam.

3. Roll out the puff pastry into a long rectangle, grease with the filling. Twist a long but not thick roll. Or do a few pieces.

4. Transfer to a baking sheet, grease with an egg, bake at 200 degrees for about 25- + 30 minutes.

5. Cool, gently remove from the sheet, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Chocolate roll with jam

A sponge cake with cocoa is being prepared for this roll. The product is covered with chocolate icing on top. It is advisable to take a chocolate bar with a cocoa content of at least 70%.

Ingredients

• 4 eggs;

• 2 tablespoons of cocoa;

• 100 g flour;

• 130 g of sugar;

• 0.3 tsp cultivator.

• 300 g of jam.

For glaze:

• 70 g of chocolate;

• 30 g butter.

Cooking

1. Break the eggs into a bowl, immediately add sugar, immerse the mixer and beat well at the highest speed. Mass should be doubled at least.

2. Combine the flour with cocoa, add the cultivator.

3. Mix chocolate flour with beaten eggs.

4. Pour the dough onto a baking sheet with oiled parchment. You can bake chocolate roll on a silicone litter.

5. Bake at 180 degrees. Sponge cake is enough for 10-15 minutes. Check by pressure. If the hole is restored, then the cake is ready.

6. Remove the biscuit from the towel. Remove parchment or remove mat. Let the cake lie down for about five minutes.

7. Apply the jam until the biscuit has completely cooled. Roll the warm cake into a tight roll. Leave to cool completely. Then refrigerate.

8. For the icing, we chop the chocolate and butter, melt in place in one bowl. You can use a water bath, microwave or aluminum saucepan.

9. We take out the chilled roll, grease with glaze, leave until the chocolate hardens.

Roll with jam "Surprise"

A recipe for a very bright and unusual roll, which children will especially enjoy. The filling is prepared from jam with marmalade and air cream, it turns out to be very sweet, fragrant and bright.

Ingredients

• 3 eggs;

• 100 g sugar;

• 130 g flour;

• 2 tablespoons of water;

• a pinch of vanilla;

• a pinch of soda.

Filling:

• 100 g marmalade;

• 200 g of jam;

• 150 ml cream;

• 3 tablespoons of powder.

Cooking

1. Make a biscuit dough. Beat eggs and granulated sugar, add flour with vanilla and a cultivator. Gently stir to maintain the splendor of the dough.

2. Pour the mass onto a baking sheet (be sure to cover it with parchment), a layer of about half a centimeter. Bake until wheaten.

3. Take out the biscuit on a towel, twist the roll with it, cool.

4. Beat the cream until lush foam with powder. The fat content of the product should not be less than 30%.

5. Marmalade cut into pieces.

6. Expand the roll, grease with jam.

7. Top smear cream.

Jam roll - useful tips and tricks

• If the jam is liquid and spreads, it is possible to add some crumbs from cookies to it.

• Sponge cake for roll should not be cooled in the oven, as is done for cakes. The layer is quite thin, dries quickly and will break when twisted.

• If you want to make a lot of filling, it is better to dilute the jam with another product: fruits, nuts, cottage cheese, dried fruits. Sour prunes or dried apricots are well suited. Otherwise, from a large amount of jam, the delicacy will turn out to be too sweet and heavy.

• If the eggs for the biscuit did not beat well, the dough turned out to be dense, it can still be used for roll, but it is advisable to add slaked soda or baking powder.

• To get a juicy and wet roll, sponge cake can be soaked with juice or iced tea, but not much before the curl.
