Such fish can be baked, stewed or fried.

It goes well with vegetables, sauces and seafood, but in particular cod is really tasty only with sour cream.

This fish itself is not very oily, so it needs a good marinade.

Cooking with sour cream, you will get cod incredibly mouth-watering and juicy. And if you add mustard or herbs to sour cream, then it will just not come off the dish.

Cod in sour cream - general principles of preparation

• Do not buy heavily frozen cod for cooking.

• If you bought a frozen cod filet, let it thaw at room temperature.

• To reduce salt and bitterness in cod, hold it before cooking in water or milk.

• To prevent the fish from turning dry, do not overdo it in the oven.

• If you fry the fish, then keep it on fire for no more than 10 minutes.

• To make the fish juicy, marinate it before cooking.

• The fatter the sour cream with which you pickle the fish, the juicier the dish will be.

• To make the fish better saturated with marinade, make incisions on it.

Sour cream cod - a classic recipe

Ingredients:

• two cod fillets;

• salt;

• half a lemon;

• two tablespoons of vegetable oil;

• 210 g sour cream.

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the fillet and remove any remaining bones. Pepper fish meat and salt. Cut the cod fillet into pieces and put them on a plate. Squeeze lemon juice on the fish, cover the plate and put the cod pickled in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

2. Lubricate the heat-resistant baking sheet with vegetable oil and place the fish pieces on it.

3. Spread cream over the cod evenly with a thick layer.

4. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and set the fish to bake for 20 minutes.

5. Allow the finished dish to cool slightly and place it on plates.

6. Garnish cod in sour cream with lemon slices and sour cream and chopped greens sauce.

7. Serve with a side dish of boiled rice.

Whole baked cod in sour cream

Ingredients:

• one cod;

• two tablespoons of tomato paste;

• salt;

• an incomplete glass of sour cream;

• a spoonful of mustard.

Cooking method:

1. Clean the fresh cod from the scales. Cut off her fins, tail and head.

2. Rinse the fish and make deep cuts across it.

3. Rub the cod with pepper and salt.

4. Stir in a bowl the sour cream, mustard and tomato paste.

5. Rub the fish with this sauce on the inside, in cuts and on the outside.

6. Lubricate the pan with oil and put the fish. Put the cod bake for 40 minutes. Set the oven to 200 degrees.

Cod in sour cream with tomatoes

Ingredients:

• 590 g cod fillet;

• two onions;

• 140 g of sunflower oil;

• salt;

• four tomatoes;

• pepper;

• 220 g sour cream;

• four tablespoons of flour;

• five spoons of chopped dill.

Cooking method:

1. Cut washed and dried cod fillet into portions. Mix pepper and salt with flour and roll the fish in this mixture. Fry the cod in sunflower oil until tender.

2. Onion cut into half rings and fry in a separate pan until golden brown.

3. Rinse and chop the tomatoes.

4. Lubricate the mold with oil. Distribute the tomatoes evenly on its bottom, put the fish on top. The next layer is greens, and on top of it is onion. The last layer is again tomatoes.

5. Pour the whole dish with sour cream and put in the oven. Stew cod with tomatoes for 15 minutes.

6. Sprinkle the finished dish with the remaining herbs and serve with boiled potatoes.

Baked cod in wine with sour cream

Ingredients:

• kilogram of cod filet;

• salt;

• half a glass of sour cream;

• three tablespoons of pork fat;

• half a glass of dry white wine.

Cooking method:

1. Rinse cod fillet, cut into arbitrary pieces and grate with salt.

2. Pour melted pork fat into the mold and place the fish pieces in it.

3. Turn on the oven 200 degrees and set the cod to bake for 25 minutes.

4. Periodically add wine and the liquid that will form in the form to the fish.

5. After the elapsed time, fill the fish with liquid sour cream and bake for another 5 minutes.

6. Serve the finished cod with vegetable salad.

Cod steaks in sour cream and cream

Ingredients:

• 900 g steaks of cod;

• 60 g of mayonnaise;

• salt;

• 130 g of liquid sour cream;

• pepper;

• half a lemon;

• 75 ml cream;

• two onions;

• two tomatoes.

Cooking method:

1. Rinse cod steaks under running water and dry with a paper towel.

2. Sprinkle steaks with lemon juice and grate with salt and pepper. Leave the fish to marinate for 10 minutes.

3. Take a baking dish and put the fish in it with the marinade.

4. Fill the cod with cream and lay on top the circles of washed tomatoes and onion rings. All salt.

5. Stir mayonnaise and sour cream in a bowl. Pour the mixture into the dish.

6. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake cod steaks with vegetables for 25 minutes.

7. No addition to the dish is required except for a slice of garlic bread.

Cod in sour cream and mustard with shrimp

Ingredients:

• 850 g cod fillet;

• 75 g sour cream;

• a spoon of mustard;

• pepper;

• 190 ml cream;

• two tablespoons of flour;

• 440 ml of milk;

• two tablespoons of lemon juice;

• salt;

• 160 g of shrimp;

• bow;

• 50 g butter.

Cooking method:

1. Chop the peeled onion finely and fry it in oil.

2. Pour flour into the onion, mix and pour the milk.

3. After a couple of minutes, add the cream mixed with flour, pepper, mustard and sour cream there.

4. Peel the shrimps, rinse them and dip them in the prepared sauce. Sprinkle shrimp with lemon juice and salt. Cook for 10 minutes.

5. Cut the washed fish fillet into small pieces and place in a baking dish. Pour the cod over the cooked shrimp sauce.

6. Put the dish baked at a temperature of 200-220 degrees for half an hour.

7. Serve the finished cod by pre-pouring it with sauce and along with any side dish.

Cod in sour cream with vegetables

Ingredients:

• two cod fillets;

• two potatoes;

• salt;

• one tomato;

• pepper;

• onion;

• garlic;

• olive oil;

• dill;

• two bell peppers;

• 140 g sour cream.

Cooking method:

1. Peel all vegetables and rinse them. For bell peppers do not forget to core. Then dry the vegetables with a towel and cut into large pieces.

2. Put all the vegetables in a bowl, pepper, salt and mix, adding olive oil.

3. In a special form, put the vegetables and bake them at a temperature of 200 degrees until half ready. Do not forget to stir them periodically.

4. Rinse and dry the cod fillet. Then grate the fish pieces with salt (if desired, add any spices you like).

5. Put the fish on top on semi-annual vegetables. Stir sour cream with chopped dill in a bowl and pour fish and vegetables with this mixture.

6. Bake the dish for another 15 minutes. Once the fish is ready, remove the mold from the oven.

7. Cut the finished cod into portioned pieces and arrange in plates. Add vegetables and remaining vegetable juice to the fish.

8. Serve the dish with fresh cakes.

Cod with green beans in sour cream

Ingredients:

• one medium cod;

• pepper;

• four eggs;

• flour;

• two tablespoons of sour cream;

• two tablespoons of soy sauce;

• salt;

• 85 g of hard cheese;

• 190 g of green beans.

Cooking method:

1. Rinse the cod well. Using a knife, carefully remove skin from it, separate from the ridge and cut into medium pieces.

2. Put the fish in a plate, salt it and add pepper.

3. Break eggs into a container. Add salt, soy sauce and sour cream there. Whisk with a whisk until smooth.

4. Put the cheese on a cutting board, and grate it through a grater.

5. Heat the water in a saucepan and dip the beans into it. Cook it for five minutes, and then put it in a colander. Water should drain.

6. Add flour to the fish and mix.

7. Lubricate the mold with butter and lay out the cod.

8. On top of the cod, evenly distribute the finished beans.

9. Pour the ingredients into the prepared egg mixture and sprinkle with grated cheese.

10. Put the cod with beans in the oven at a temperature of 180-200 degrees for 25-35 minutes.

11. Serve the finished fish dish with mashed potatoes.

Cod in sour cream - tricks and useful tips.

• Add mushrooms to the cod dish in sour cream, if desired.

• Add to the cod in sour cream any spices to taste.

• Keep the finished dish in the refrigerator for no more than two days.

• If you bake fish, sprinkle it with chopped cheese a couple of minutes before cooking.

• For bitterness and pungency, add ground red pepper to the fish dish.

• If you use sour cream as a sauce for fish, then take it in liquid form.

• After baking cod after cooking, let it brew in the oven for a couple more minutes. This will make the fish even more tender and saturate it with sauce.

• Sprinkle with herbs before serving.
