Someone considers these products to be the same, someone else. But in any case, dumplings (dumplings) are small pieces of dough that are cooked in broth. And many have known this dish since childhood.

Chicken Dumpling Soup - General Cooking Principles

Ingredients

• half a small chicken;

• water 3 liters;

• some oil or any fat;

• 5 potatoes;

• onion;

• carrot;

• salt, greens.

For dumplings:

• half a glass of flour;

• 2 eggs.

Cooking

1. We wash the chicken, fill it with water and cook the broth for about 40-50 minutes, depending on the quality of the bird. Then we take out the meat, add salt to taste.

2. Dice the peeled potatoes, dip into the broth.

3. Shred the carrots, cut the peeled onion into cubes. Fry onion for a couple of minutes, add carrots and cook until golden. If you like soups without frying, then just pour the prepared vegetables into the broth.

4. We disassemble the boiled and already cooled chicken, put the meat in the soup.

5. Knead the dough for dumplings. To do this, break the eggs, mix with salt and two tablespoons of water. Pour flour, the dough should be thick, like on pancakes.

6. As soon as the potatoes become soft, but not yet boiled, we form the dumplings with a spoon, do not forget to moisten it in water.

7. Cook the soup for another 5 minutes, season with herbs, spices, try on salt. Serve with sour cream.

Recipe 2: Chicken Soup with Semolina Dumplings

The peculiarity of this chicken soup with dumplings is loose and airy dumplings, which are obtained so thanks to semolina. It is advisable to let the dough stand for a while before forming, for about 10 minutes.

Ingredients

• a pound of chicken, you can take a soup set;

• 3 potatoes;

• onion;

• spices, parsley leaves.

For dumplings:

• egg;

• 3-4 tablespoons of semolina.

Cooking

1. Boil the chicken in two liters of water for about 40 minutes. Salt the broth.

2. Shred the onion cubes, carrots with straws. We send everything together in a saucepan, bring to a boil.

3. Run the diced potatoes.

4. Beat the egg with a fork, add a spoonful of water, salt and gradually add the semolina. Mix.

5. Once the potatoes are cooked, form the dumplings and boil for 3 minutes.

Recipe 3: Chicken Dumpling and Mushroom Soup

• half of the chicken;

• 3 liters of water;

Dumpling Chicken Soup - Tips & Tricks

• Domestic and farm chickens require more cooking time due to well-developed muscle tissue. They make a fragrant broth, the broth is yellow and saturated. Factory poultry cooks twice as fast, but the broth is not so rich.

• If you do not have time to remove the foam and the soup has already boiled, then add a little water to the pan and it will rise to the surface again. You can simply drain the first broth and refill the meat. It is believed that the dishes on the second broth are more healthy and dietary.
