At one time, the magnificent performance of the title role in the tragicomedy of Eldar Ryazanov, “The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath,” brought Barbara Brylsk not only an all-Union fame, but also a state prize.
It is curious that many colleagues reacted to the awarding of Brylsky quite critically. In particular, she heard claims from Valentina Talyzina. The actress considered receiving the Bryl Prize undeserved, because she was the one who voiced the main character of the film, and amazing songs to the music of Tariverdiev were performed by Alla Pugacheva.
