Despite the fact that there is very little meat in chicken wings, the dishes from them are incredibly juicy and tasty. They can be fried, baked, boiled and stewed. Wings in honey sauce can be cooked easily and quickly, and at the same time at minimal cost. Sweet marinade makes the taste of meat unique. Due to honey, the wings acquire a beautiful golden and crispy surface, and from the inside they turn out soft and delicate.

The perfect combination for the sauce is honey and citrus juice. It turns a classic sweet and sour marinade for chicken. Instead of citrus fruits, you can take balsamic vinegar, mustard or soy sauce. For gourmets, the dish will be a real delicacy that can be served even on the festive table as a hot or snack.

Wings in honey sauce - general principles of preparation

For a dish, it is advisable to choose chilled wings, on which there are no bruises and dark spots. Also, when choosing a product, you should pay attention to its color, it should be pale pink. Bad wings and feathers should be absent. Their size should not exceed 13-14 cm.

Before cooking, the wings must be processed. To start, they should be washed under running water, remove all excess and dry with kitchen paper towels. If desired, the wings can be divided into two parts, so it will be more convenient to eat them.

Honey for marinade is better to take flower or buckwheat. Honey sauce can be prepared with lemon or orange juice. Such a marinade does not deteriorate, so you can safely leave the meat boned in it for a night. Also suitable as dressing: dried mint, garlic, tomato paste, herbs or cloves.

As a side dish, you can serve boiled rice, mashed potatoes, mushrooms, stewed vegetables, buckwheat porridge or salads.

Wings in Honey Sauce - A Classic Recipe

Ingredients:

• 600 g of chicken wings;

• 6 tbsp. l lemon juice;

• 4 tbsp. l orange juice;

• 4 tbsp. l honey;

• salt to taste;

• black pepper to taste;

• a few mint leaves;

• 6 tbsp. l sunflower oil.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the chicken wings, cut into joints and fry in oil until a crispy crust.

2. Mix lemon juice with orange juice, add honey, salt and pepper. Mix.

3. Put the wings in a greased baking sheet or pan for baking in the oven. Pour the cooked sweet and sour sauce and put in the oven for 10-15 minutes.

4. Sort the mint leaves, wash and finely chop.

5. Serve the finished dish in portions, decorating with mint.

Baked wings in honey sauce

Ingredients:

• 450 g of chicken wings;

• 30 ml of liquid honey;

• 30 g mustard sauce;

• 30 ml of soy sauce;

• 30 ml of sunflower oil;

• 15 g mustard seeds;

• a few cloves of garlic;

• 15 g of chicken spices.

Cooking method:

1. For marinade, pour honey, mustard and soy sauce into an enameled bowl. Add sunflower oil, spices and mustard seeds.

2. Peel and chop the garlic with a knife. Send to the marinade.

3. Wash the chicken wings, dry them a little in the air and coat them with plenty of marinade on all sides. Put in the same bowl, cover with a bag or foil and send in the refrigerator for the night.

4. Place the wings in the baking tray prepared for baking, pour the marinade and place in the oven for about an hour. During cooking, it is better to take out and turn the wings once or twice, then pour over the marinade again.

5. Put the wings on a plate. If desired, the dish can be decorated with any fresh herbs.

Wings in honey sauce with tomatoes and potatoes

Ingredients:

• 450 g of chicken wings;

• 120 g of sun-dried tomatoes or tomato paste;

• five potatoes;

• 25 g of liquid honey;

• 4 tbsp. l sunflower oil;

• salt to taste;

• three branches of dill;

• ground black pepper to taste.

Cooking method:

1. Dried tomatoes finely chop or grind in mashed potatoes with slices, add honey, salt and ground pepper.

2. Wash and peel potatoes. Then chop into straws.

3. Wash the wings in cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper towels. Cut into joints. Fry them with sunflower oil until a crispy crust.

4. Add potatoes and a mixture of sun-dried tomatoes to them. Pour a glass of hot boiled water.

5. Stew at moderate heat and cover closed for about 40 minutes.

6. Serve as the main dish, sprinkled with chopped dill.

Wings in honey sauce with lemon juice.

Ingredients:

• 550 g chicken wings;

• a few cloves of garlic;

• 60 g of honey;

• 60 g butter;

• 40 ml of sunflower oil;

• 60 g of sesame seeds;

• salt to taste;

• ground pepper to taste;

• one lemon.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the wings in cool water, cut and dry a little.

2. Peel the garlic and wash it. Then grind with a knife or pass through a special crush.

3. Wash the lemon, cut into two halves and squeeze the juice. If squeezed by hands, the juice must be filtered through a sieve so that no bones are caught.

4. Garlic mixed with lemon juice, honey, salt and ground pepper.

5. Grate the wings with this mixture and set aside for half an hour.

6. Lubricate a small baking sheet with sunflower oil and put the wings there. Add half a glass of water. Put in the oven to bake for 15-17 minutes.

7. Then pull out the baking sheet, turn the wings over and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Put back in the oven for the same time.

8. Serve with any side dish of potatoes.

Apple Sauce Wings

Ingredients:

• 550 g chicken wings;

• 90 g of honey;

• 90 ml of water;

• 4-5 small apples;

• 70 ml of lemon juice;

• 1-2 cloves;

• sunflower oil;

• 140 g of rice cereal;

• salt to taste.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the wings, cut and fry in oil on all sides until tender.

2. Sort the rice groats, rinse from starch, add water and put in a separate saucepan. When it boils, sprinkle rice with salt and remove the foam. Cover the pan with a lid and leave to simmer over low heat. When the rice grains are soft, rinse the rice and set aside to allow water to glass.

3. In the meantime, do the sauce. Apples can be taken any, but it is better a little sour green. Wash them, clean them, remove the core. Grind the pulp of apples in mashed potatoes.

4. Add applesauce to honey, lemon juice, water and cloves. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for a few minutes.

5. Place the fried wings on a plate and pour over the prepared sauce.

Boiled wings in honey sauce with buckwheat

Ingredients:

• 450 g of chicken wings;

• 2 tsp butter;

• 60 g of lemon juice;

• a few mint leaves;

• 60 g of honey;

• 2 tbsp. l dried mint;

• salt to taste;

• 4 tbsp. l sunflower oil;

• 100 g of buckwheat.

Cooking method:

1. Wash the chicken wings, chop, place in a pan and pour necessarily hot water. When the meat is cooked for the second dish, pour it with hot water. Add salt and cook on a fire. Be sure to remove foam during the cooking process.

2. Sort buckwheat groats in a saucepan, pour cool water and rinse, drain dirty water. Put the groats in a separate pan and pour cold water so that it is 5-6 cm higher than the buckwheat. Put on heat when the water boils, remove the foam and add sunflower oil and salt. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until the water evaporates to the level of the cereal, and then close the buckwheat porridge with a lid and set aside for now.

3. Wash the mint leaves, chop finely.

4. Mix fresh and dried mint in a small Turk, add lemon juice, butter and honey. Add salt. Put on low heat and warm for a couple of minutes.

5. Buckwheat grains should swell well by this time.

6. Place the cooked wings on a serving plate and pour over the sauce. Next, lay a serving of buckwheat porridge.

Wings in Honey Spicy Sauce

Ingredients:

• 680 g of chicken wings;

• a spoon of curry;

• a spoon of cardamom;

• three tablespoons of buckwheat honey;

• a large spoon of spicy mustard;

• two spoons of saffron;

• salt;

• half a spoon of ground ginger;

• a third of a cup of soy sauce.

Cooking method:

1. In a saucepan, stirring constantly, melt buckwheat honey.

2. Add to it curry, ginger ham, salt, spicy mustard and soy sauce. To stir thoroughly.

3. Pour saffron into a separate glass, pour a couple of spoons of water and let it brew. Then add the resulting mixture to honey sauce.

4. Mash cardamom in a separate mortar and also add to the honey mass. Mix.

5. Rinse the wings thoroughly under running water and cut into two parts.

Wings in Honey Sauce - Tips and Tricks

• Try using natural products to make marinades.

• Before pickling the wings, pierce them in several places with a fork.

• To get the crust on the wings as rosy and crisp as possible, bake them at 200 degrees.

• If honey is mixed with soy sauce and warmed, then such a marinade will make the surface of the wings glazed.

• It will be tastier if you first fry the wings in a pan with butter and only then add honey marinade to them.

• To prevent the taste of honey from getting lost, do not put a lot of spices in the marinade.

• You can cook such wings on an open fire by planting them on a skewer.
