Finally, the irresistible blast of women for sweets became clear. Scientists said that women produce a special gene that affects the fact that a number of products may seem unusually desirable to them.

Canadian researchers conducted a series of experiments before they managed to isolate a gene that affects not only the desire for a forbidden sweet, but also explains the consequence of this - being overweight. This gene makes chocolate or ice cream significantly tastier than they actually are.

If a woman has such a gene, it is extremely difficult for her to resist the sweet temptations. This study led scientists to another thought: a number of women are genetically prone to obesity.

There is a common belief that obese women are unable to limit themselves to sweets and starchy foods. However, this passion is often explained by genetic variation, which duplicates the production of dopamine, or as it is called the hormone of pleasure.

The experiment involved 150 children under the age of four years. The kids were offered a variety of dishes, among which they could choose between healthy foods and sweets.

According to the results of the experiment, it turned out that in children with genetic variation, craving for sweets manifested itself very sharply, other products did not seem to be desirable. Interesting: for girls, such a craving was extremely strong. Such children consumed more candy and ice cream than their peers.

By calculating the diet chosen by the children, scientists were able to determine what the weight of these girls will be in a few years. Scientists are confident that thanks to the study, it will be easier and faster to recognize girls prone to obesity and among them carries out prevention.
