Eyebrows, these curved lines, covered with small hairs, perform invisible, but rather important functions. Firstly, they protect your eyes from bright sunlight and moisture. Droplets of rain or sweat, flowing from the forehead, along the outer and inner arches of the eyebrows are directed towards the nose bridge or temple, and not on the mucous membrane of the eye, saving it from irritation.

Secondly, with the help of eyebrows we can express our emotions. Communicating, we unconsciously move our eyebrows, and facial expressions express our inner state, whether it be anger, joy, surprise, doubt.

And thirdly, eyebrows perform an aesthetic function, they transform our face, making it more expressive. Sometimes they are decorated with rhinestones, piercings, tattoos, and, most importantly, they are corrected, i.e. give the desired shape and color. After all, nature did not endow everyone with perfect eyebrows. To always have beautiful eyebrows, you need to take care of them. One of the main stages of care is their correction, which can be done in the salon or at home. This is not at all difficult, the main thing is to familiarize yourself with simple rules.

How to choose the shape of eyebrows

Before proceeding with the correction of eyebrows and choose the correct line for their bending, you need to determine the shape of your face. After all, the corresponding shape of eyebrows is suitable for a certain type of face. With its help, you can visually correct the oval, for example, make a round face more oblong, and elongated - shorten.

1. Triangular face. For this type of face, you should choose a rounded shape of the eyebrows. They should not be made too round, it is necessary to adhere to a straight, slightly rounded line.

2. Round face. To give the face an oval shape, it is necessary to visually make it a little narrower and longer. The line of the shape of the eyebrows is modeled with a slight break, slightly sharpening at the outer edge. The kink must be formed at a distance of about 2/3 from the inner corner.

3. Square face. Eyebrows are formed almost identically, as for a round face, only a kink is made closer to the middle. Too sharpen it is not necessary, otherwise the eyebrows will be like "houses", giving the face a slightly surprised look.

4. Oval face. Such a face can be visually rounded if you give the eyebrows a shape with a soft bend, without pronounced fractures. At the outer edge, the line can be slightly sharpened, i.e. make it thinner.

5. Long face. The face has an elongated oval to round it, to make it more feminine, eyebrows should be made in the form of straight lines.

When the type of face is determined and the appropriate shape of the eyebrows is selected, you can proceed with the correction.

Eyebrow correction at home

Eyebrow correction takes place in 3 stages: preparatory, direct correction (removal of excess hairs) and final.

1. Preparatory stage. Initially, you should determine the starting and ending point of the eyebrow, as well as the location of the bend. They are easy to install with a long thin object - a pencil, stick, knitting needle. The edge of the stick should be attached to the wing of the nostrils and connected to the inner corner of the eye. Where she touches the eyebrow, there will be the starting point (point A in the figure). Next, the stick from the wing of the nostrils should be directed through the outer corner of the eye. In the place of contact with the eyebrow is the end point (point C). To find the bend point (point B), it is necessary to draw a line from the wing of the nose through the pupil.

2. Correction. To reduce pain, pre-grease the eyebrows with a greasy cream, for example, "Children's". After 15 minutes, his excess is removed with a napkin and ice is applied to the eyebrows for three minutes.

Hair removal is done with wax, thread or tweezers. At home, waxing should be abandoned, because Without skills, you can stay without any eyebrows. It is better to entrust this work to the master in the salon. It is very convenient to remove hairs with a thread. This method of hair removal is called Asian or Oriental. It is gradually gaining popularity, as has several advantages. Firstly, hair removal is very fast, practically without irritating the skin. Secondly, dead skin cells are removed along with the hairs, i.e. exfoliation occurs.

True, this method has one drawback - skill and experience are needed. You can learn this from the master in the salon, taking a few paid lessons or watch demo videos. If you don’t have the knack yet, the method that has been proven over the years remains - eyebrow correction with tweezers.

First, the eyebrows must be combed with a brush. Then, for convenience, you can mark the start and end points of the eyebrow line, draw their future outline. Depilation is recommended in bright light. In one hand they hold tweezers, in the other - slightly stretch the skin. The hairs are taken one at a time from the very base, and pulled out with a sharp movement. It is periodically necessary to interrupt to monitor the process and evaluate the result.

If, nevertheless, it was possible to pull out the "excess", and bald spots formed on this place, at the end of the depilation, they can be masked with mascara or pencil. Subsequent correction is carried out as new hairs grow.

3. The final stage. Upon completion of the correction, it is necessary to carry out disinfection. The skin is wiped with alcohol lotion or tonic, then, to relieve irritation, a soothing cream or gel is applied (with glycerin, chamomile). Eyebrow correction is not only depilation, but also staining.

You can give the desired shade using a cosmetic pencil. It’s better not to draw a solid line, but to draw small strokes. Rare eyebrows are best dyed with mascara. If the eyebrows do not need staining, you can fix their shape and give shine using a special transparent gel.

Eyebrow Tattoo Correction

Tattooing refers to the correction of eyebrows, which is performed using permanent makeup. It will help to give the eyebrows an ideal shape even in cases where the tweezers correction and simple coloring do not help. For example, if eyebrows are naturally very rare, light or asymmetrical. The essence of the procedure is to fill the cells of the stratum corneum with coloring pigment, similar to applying a tattoo. First, the master draws the eyebrow shape with a pencil, and if he approves the client, he proceeds directly to the tattoo, i.e. the introduction of special paint under the skin. The procedure is a bit painful, therefore, if desired, a slight anesthesia is performed. If some "native" hairs remain behind the tattoo line, they are simply removed with tweezers.

There are several options for applying tattooing. The most common are hair-to-hair and shorting. In the first case, lines of different lengths are drawn that can go parallel or intersect. This simulates the effect of real eyebrows. There is a simpler option when the lines are drawn with strokes, certain intervals are left between them. When shoting, the effect of eyebrows created by shadows or a pencil is created. Basically, this method is used to adjust the previously performed permanent makeup procedure.

Eyebrow tattooing is carried out in one session, after about a month they make a correction. Tattooing, depending on the type of skin, lasts 3-5 years. This is very convenient because eliminates daily eyebrow adjustments, which saves time. Permanent, like any cosmetic procedure, has some contraindications: allergy to drugs, diabetes, pregnancy, age up to 18 years, hypertension, acute inflammatory diseases.
