Culinary experiments often lead to unexpected dishes. And if before the joke “pies with tomatoes” was just a joke, then today it is a very tasty, mouth-watering and budget dish that is prepared so quickly that you can surprise them even with unexpected guests!

Each for himself will find the best option for cooking tomato pies: with garlic, with cottage cheese, with herbs, etc. One thing is clear - no one will remain indifferent to such fried pastries, especially if it is served hot when the cheese is still stretching.

You will need:

for the test:

- 1 tbsp. boiling water;

- 0.5 tbsp salts;

- 1 tsp granulated sugar;

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil;

- 3 tbsp. wheat flour.

For filling:

- 150 g of hard cheese;

- 2-3 ripe tomatoes;

- 2-3 pinches of salt.

When preparing a dough, you do not have to stick to the recipe if you have your own favorite recipe for making a pastry dough. It is cheburechny, since the dough for pies should be crispy and must bubble when frying.

Pour boiling water, vegetable oil into a container and pour salt along with granulated sugar. Sugar will give a crispy taste to baking.

Stir everything until completely dissolved and pour 1 tbsp. wheat flour. Knead the dough so that no flour lumps form, and then pour another 1 tbsp. flour. Divide the last glass in half and set aside half of the flour to roll out the dough, and add the second to the dough.

Cover the freshly prepared hot dough on top and place in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to cool, and do the cooking of simple toppings yourself.

Hard cheese rub on a fine grater. Instead of cheese, you can use feta (feta cheese), cottage cheese or ricotta.

Rinse the tomatoes in water and cut into large circles, cutting green cores.

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into a couple of servings.

Roll out the first part in a round layer and place on a flour dusted board.

Put the sliced tomato circles on the dough, trying to leave a little space between them.

Put a little grated cheese on each tomato and sprinkle it with salt. At this stage of cooking, you can add greens or pressed garlic.

Roll out the second circle from the dough and cover the first with the filling.

With a mug or glass, cut out the pies, guided by the filling. Each pie sticks together when you rotate the cup - just remember to dip its edges into flour, otherwise the cup may stick to the dough.

In a saucepan or a container with a non-stick bottom, heat the vegetable oil to the limit and fry the pies in it for 2 minutes on both sides.

Put the fried pies on a plate and let them cool slightly.

Serve pastries with herbs and various sauces. Good appetite!

Appetizing and fragrant pastries can be a rather economical dish - let's see this together:

- 1 tsp sugar - 2 rubles .;

- 2 tbsp vegetable oil - 2 rubles;

- 3 tbsp. wheat flour - 15 rubles.

- 150 g of hard cheese - 20 rubles;

- 2-3 ripe tomatoes - 10 rubles.

At the exit of the whole composition of the ingredients, about 10-12 crispy pies are obtained, which cost only 49 rubles. This is the most budgetary recipe for preparing such a dish, but you can add any toppings to your liking and continue to experiment. Good luck
