The winner of the contest "Miss America 2015" was the representative of the state of New York 23-year-old Kira Kazantseva, the daughter of immigrants from Russia. After the victory, Kazantseva gave a frank interview in which, in particular, she admitted that she had sufficiently weighty reasons to engage in charity in favor of women who were victims of domestic violence. According to Kazantseva, the choice of the charity organization “Love should not hurt” was not accidental. The girl said that she herself experienced such a "pain" when she was still a college student, and she met a young man who practiced raising a hand against her. According to Kira, she could not share her problems with anyone. That is why she considers it extremely important to participate in such an organization: women who are victims of violence must be freed from their experiences.
