In the Feng Shui teachings of this part of the home, much attention is paid, because food is prepared here, which gives vitality to all households, there is a hearth - a direct embodiment of the Fire element, surprisingly uniting other elements around it. And the well-being of the whole house, the balance of the opposing and complementary powerful forces, depends on how everything is arranged here.
The best place for it will be the southern part of the house or the eastern, southeastern, in extreme cases - you can move the kitchen to the center of the house (but without capturing the middle point).
Less favorable sides of the world are considered to be the west, southwest, northeast, northwest, and finally, the north - as the most negative for the kitchen, since it completely belongs to the element Water.
Unfavorable, but unfortunately frequent, is the location of the kitchen in such a way that the entrance to it is viewed from the front door, which means that negative energy can penetrate from the outside and all kinds of outflows from the house are possible. To avoid such effects, experts recommend one of the following options:
- to close the door to the kitchen with bright curtains of beads;
- hang a picture of something airy on the wall at the entrance to the kitchen;
- place over the door leading from the house, a little thing called the music of the wind.
The place for the stove and oven (as well as the microwave) is determined similarly to the location of the kitchen itself, in addition, the stove will be in its best place, regardless of the cardinal points, if you put it against the wall leading to the center of the house.
And you should also consider such points:
- if you draw a straight line from the oven, then in no case should it point to the front door of the dwelling, bathroom or toilet - otherwise poverty will come into the house;
- this hot cooking technique cannot be located under the window - well-being and family peace will fly away into it;
- Do not lean the oven against the sink or refrigerator. - So the opposing elements - Fire and Water - will enter into a heated and protracted conflict;
- absolutely no place for the oven in the corner - This is a clear manifest of disrespect for its importance in the everyday life of the house.
For a dishwasher and a sink, they try to allocate a place in the east or north.
In the energy plan, the refrigerator will safely "exist" in the southeast.
The dining table is ideally placed so that it is comfortable to sit on either side. But in the absence of such an opportunity, it can also be moved to the wall, the main thing is that it does not apply also to the bathroom, toilet - otherwise, together with the water that decreases there, the household finances, as well as their good appetite, will disappear. The table, by the way, is very desirable to choose a round, oval or rectangular. Unfavorable for the table are the shapes of a square and a semicircle.
First of all, it is worth noting that, in principle, there are no inappropriate shades for the kitchen - any color, at least, can be used in the decor of the room (whether it is furniture elements or some gizmos decorating the kitchen).
However, the Feng Shui teaching suggests that there are preferred shades and materials in the design of the kitchen, depending on its location on the cardinal points:
- South - in the power of the Fire element, bright, juicy shades of red, orange and yellow, as well as green, are appropriate. The last color reconciles the flame with Water. It is preferable to design such a kitchen with natural wood products.
- Southeast or east - here the element is ruled by the Tree, for which the colors brown, black, yellow, green and blue are acceptable. The best materials here will be wood, as well as ceramics and glass.
- Northeast, southwest or center - Land plots managed by the elements of Earth should be designed almost in the same way as the south - red, yellow and orange. And among things there should be more products made of stone and natural crystal.
- Northwest or west - under the leadership of the element Metal, the best colors are white and a metal palette - gold, bronze, silver, chrome. Yellow is also possible - as the color of the elements of the Earth from which the Metal originates. Elements of decor and decoration are better to choose, of course, metal, as well as stone and ceramic.
- North - belonging to the elements Water logically assumes that all shades of blue and blue are optimal here, partly with a slope to green (after all, these are sea open spaces). Plus, you can add the colors of the elements of Metal. And the materials, in principle, will suit any.
Hanging curtains or blinds in the kitchen is a matter of taste, they can be plain and with a pattern, but their main color should change according to the seasons:
- spring - mint, azure, light blue;
- summer - red, yellow, pink from the ashes of a faded rose to fuchsia;
- autumn - white, olive, golden;
- winter - plum, sand.
Paintings in this part of the house are recommended to be chosen with the animal world, landscapes and the kingdom of flora, mouth-watering still lifes (but without meat products, broken dishes).
As a symbol of abundance and affluence, it is useful to keep a vase of fresh fruit in the kitchen.
Living plants in pots should be placed near the window - on the windowsill or suspended above it, and you can combine the benefits of Feng Shui and practical, having a miniature garden of spicy herbs. Moreover, modern hydroponic systems will minimize troubles with it.
But there is no place for an aquarium in the kitchen - he belongs to the elements of Water too much.
An excellent solution would be decorating the kitchen with figures of turtles and elephants.
A mirror in the kitchen is not the most desirable element, but if it cannot be imagined without it, then it should be solid, and not in the form of a tile - such a thing breaks the positive energy flows and turns them into chaos. Also, the mirror must be placed correctly:
- if the dining table is reflected in it - this is a good option, but it will contribute to an excellent appetite;
- it should not reflect the process of cooking - it is almost always a little dirty, with lumps and litter.
IMPORTANT! According to Feng Shui teachings, the kitchen should always be tidied up. Even places hidden from the eyes should sparkle with purity. Garbage from here should be taken out every day. It is forbidden to store in the kitchen old worn out and broken things. But it is not forbidden to keep, say, a stock of potatoes or pumpkins in the kitchen, although this is not very clean, but it is a natural state of affairs for supplies.
And it is very advisable not to leave dirty dishes in the kitchen at night, especially in the sink.
