Salad with crab sticks is probably familiar to everyone. For sure, every hostess adds his own “special” ingredient to it. Usually this salad is prepared with the addition of rice or potatoes, canned corn, fresh cucumber, boiled eggs - a lot of options.

Of course, crab sticks or crab meat - this is the main mandatory component. Each person has his own proportions. But I decided to cook a crab salad, and instead of sweet corn put green peas. I was not at all disappointed with the result. Thanks to canned peas, the salad turned out to be very tender and acquired a new pleasant taste. Try this recipe yourself and decide if it deserves a place in your cookbook.

Ingredients:

Potatoes - 2-3 pcs.;

Carrots - 1 pc.;

Crab sticks - 200 g;

Green peas - 1 can;

Salt, pepper - to taste;

Mayonnaise for dressing.

Recipe:

To begin with, we’ll wash and boil potatoes and carrots. When the vegetables are cold, peel them and cut into small cubes. Carrots are not very big, just add a little sweetness, as well as for a color accent. Crab sticks are also chopped. Try to ensure that the whole cut in the salad is noticeably of the same format: I usually cut crab sticks and carrots into a dice, about a pea, it seems to me that the salad looks more appetizing.

Pour the brine from canned peas, pour into a salad bowl, add chopped potatoes.

It remains to salt, pepper and season with mayonnaise or sour cream. If this dressing is too greasy for you, you can replace it with thick white yogurt without any flavoring. So the salad will become more tender. If your dressing is too fresh, add a few drops of lemon juice.

We mix all the components together, bring to taste, add, if necessary, and transfer to serving utensils.

Salad with crab sticks and green peas is ready! At the festive table or during an ordinary family dinner, it will be very relevant. In our family, he managed to become one of his favorite salads. Try it and you.
