“Russia is our sacred power, Russia is our beloved country,” the Hymn of the Russian Federation begins with these words. But is this true not only in words but in deeds? The Women's Opinion portal decided to conduct a survey on the topic: Are you proud of today's Russia?

“Yes, of course, I’m proud,” replied ... only 20.6% of respondents. "I love my country, Motherland, Fatherland. Here are the graves of my ancestors, here I was born and my children. But! I am ashamed of our government now, since the people who manage the state do not respect old age, nor children, nor the disabled," writes one of the participants in the vote.

“I am only proud of past achievements,” is the opinion of 26% of respondents. Russia is known for the great names of talented writers and poets, artists and musicians, scientists and military leaders who glorified our Motherland far beyond its borders. Russia is a country that defeated enemies throughout its glorious history: “Of course, there is something to be proud of. From history to culture, science and just the spirit of the people” ...

54% of respondents would like to be proud of the country in which they live, in which their ancestors lived, and the next generations will live, but they believe that today they have nothing to be proud of. And the matter is not only in the weak economic development of our once mighty power: people need confidence in the future, respect for their government and a sense of pride in their people. But, unfortunately, patriotism today is "out of fashion", the nation’s sense of national pride and unity disappears, and this state of affairs will certainly lead to the collapse of the state ...

But this is a double-edged sword: “The people have such a government that they deserve. Now the majority only whine on the sidelines, and even at a low level, when they are asked to compete for their rights, everything is immediately in the sand.”

Russians today are dissatisfied with the state’s policies and the reforms it is pursuing in the fields of economics, medicine, education, and many others: “There is nothing to be proud of. In Russia there are no normal living conditions for people with disabilities and people with limited abilities. There is no state, as well as legal support workers, pregnant women, beneficiaries and other categories of citizens ... Mass corruption, impunity and ignorance. "

“I am“ proud ”of the amount of drunkenness on our vast streets. The amount and size of corruption. And“ proud ”that we are in the ranking of countries between Uganda and North Korea,” some respondents say about the painful ...

Russia is a huge country, but stupid - others say. We don’t have a suitable life for people with disabilities, we don’t have money to treat sick people, children, but we have money for films like “the best film”, our veterans get a penny, we have bad medicine, we have bad cars, we already smoke more than no smokers, but people who lead a healthy lifestyle are looked at as lepers, police have to fear more than bandits, we don’t swear at him - they talk on him, there’s dirt on the streets, pit roads, we don’t produce anything, we raise children TV show "Dom-2", and people drink, drink and drink .... And one cannot but agree with these words.

Today's Russia has many problems of an economic and social nature, but the government of our country needs to seriously think about the revival of national pride, because patriotism is not only a beautiful word, but also a powerful engine of economy and progress ...

The survey involved 2780 women from 20 to 45 years old from 149 cities of Russia.
